I am planning to delete most/all my tweets for various reasons.

Will seek for an automated tool to do that, as I ain’t gonna delete 32K+ tweets manually :)

@volkan I got started on that this afternoon with https://github.com/selfawaresoup/twitter-tools but since it runs locally, I need an API key that has full access to my account, and apparently I never signed up for a Developer account using my primary account, just with various others.

So I went ahead & signed up but it's . . . a manual approval process?

The other alternative is one of the hosted tools that just uses oAuth, but that concerns me. So: I guess I'll wait a day or two to see if I get that developer account approved?

@rossgrady Thanks Ross, noting it down.

People seem to suggest tweetdelete.net, so I might give it a whirl too.

@volkan Jumbo on iOS did that for me for quite some tlme. When my last Tweet is done I can either clean up the last few weeks or just wait it through before it is automatically done
@volkan I’m curious about those “various reasons”.

@muratcorlu

Suffice it to say some of the things I may or may not have said might seen a bit political in certain geographies where olive production is abundant.

Additionally, I don’t want the birdsite to gain impressions and ads over the content that I have created.

I have my backups already, and I can rewrite/reshare them in time.

@volkan I used tweetdelete and my twitter archive (tweets.json). Its pretty inexpensive and a one time fee
