Becca@signalblur I’m struggling to figure out how to get into infosec and cybersecurity without a technical background. Do I need a technical background? If so, where would I start? Or, are there roles for non-technical people like me?
Stephan Neuhaus@NatSecBec @signalblur My very personal opinion on this: there are largely nontechnical roles, but if you don't have a technical background, you can't talk to technical people easily.
Some of the issues in security are extremely technical and it would be good to understand them, at least superficially (no one can understand everything deeply).
To start, if you want to be more nontechnical, you could introduce a secure development lifecycle in a smallish project.
