My heart breaks for the victims of the Colorado Springs shooting, but AOC isn’t here for hollow expressions of sympathy.

After Lauren Boebert offered “thoughts and prayers” to victims and their families, AOC was quick to call her out for her own culpability in the violence.

@Jorge_Irraizoz @georgetakei Right. It’s not so simple as what you wrote, as the WAY we are going about seizing assets is a violation of the 4th amendment. This is what AOC is trying to call out. There are better, actually legal ways to go about this.

The article only asks Biden to work with Ukrain and Russia on a cease fire that the Ukrain people can live with. Did you even read the article? It says nothing about leaving any Ukraine territory to the Russians.

@beowuff @georgetakei there is no conversation with a genocidal invader, but only the defeat of the latter on the field of battle, sir. history has shown this over the centuries. as you suggest, to talk to the genocidaire, it's like suggesting to a raped woman to talk to her rapist, without him pulling away from her. it is historical truth, sir, behind the words of the article.

@Jorge_Irraizoz @georgetakei So, what you are saying is that instead of even trying a diplomatic approach, you just want things to escalate to nukes and end all human life. I’d at least like to have multiple options. I’m not saying Ukrain should immediately stop fighting. There can be multiple approaches. The world is not black and white, but shades of gray.
