Is there a way to change the username and what instance I'm using on here, or do I need to start over?

Also is there an instance with a large furry presence that people are migrating over to, or are instances just kind of like for friend groups?

Trying to really understand Mastodon best I can and maybe fully ditching bird site.

Explain this all to me like I'm five years old. 🤓

@Nahani There are multiple furry instances (biggest one is meow.social, but there are many others as well).

Regarding the username, I believe you cannot change it in that instance outside of making a new account, but you can reuse the same name on as many instances as you want (as long as it's not already taken, that is).
