Honestly it confuses me when people call it useless (I see that pretty often). How is telling someone you like their post useless? Isn't that the point of, you know, a "like" button?
C. E. M. Henderson@Len @Lilliana_S Same. I assume it’s by comparison to twitter’s like button, which also sent the tweet into your followers’ timelines (sometimes), but I thought we all agreed we hated that??
@cemhend @Lilliana_S Yeah, I think that's it. It just doesn't sit well with me when someone describes "telling OP you like their stuff" as useless.
It sounds like they only care about functions that affect the algorithm, not a little tool to make someone else happy or smile.
