Tony Stark

DeSantis is all for government -- his way, no one else's. He suppresses dissent, attacks real and perceived enemies, even kids, with relish, and deals in racial and cultural divisiveness.

He wants to command what you read, what you can or cannot say, and he demands total control of Florida's elections process and state government agencies by placing sycophants in charge of key positions. (Check out Florida's public health director, who is the polar opposite of Anthony Fauci on all matters scientific.)

He is a cruel and arrogant man and wants his own autocracy, not a democracy.

Let’s elect people who want to govern in the best interest of all Americans. We must have a higher calling beyond tax cuts for the wealthy and hate for those different from ourselves.

@TonyStark I would argue DeSantis is a BIGGER threat than trump because he knows how to manipulate the political system effectively for his own gain. I am actually MORE afraid of a DeSantis presidency than a trump one, believe it or not.

I’m deeply disappointed by the recent election of JD Vance and the continued support for Mike DeWine in Ohio. I gave myself a day to wallow then it’s moving forward again to elect Democrats, whether they are running against Trump or DeSantis.

@TonyStark I’d beg to differ that he’s not for govt. at all, just the power behind it. He’s forced to make it resemble some sort of government. I don’t see him being as smart and shrewd as he believes he is. He’s a YES man, he will do whatever his big money donors need him to do. He’s basing his patterns on tRump which says a lot- he’s found what makes that base tick and will use it for as long as he can. He like every other GOP hack has nothing to offer but more rhetoric.

Choosing between Trump and DeSantis is like choosing between heart disease and cancer. DeSantis is anything but normal, with his willingness to see thousands of Floridians die rather than support what he knew were common sense pandemic mitigation strategies. And let’s not forget that stunt sending immigrants in Texas to Martha’s Vineyard. He’s ruined this state and wants to spread it to the whole country. It’s right to pay attention to his danger to us all.

@Sunspot @TonyStark Not to mention his stunt with Disney, taking away their governance, which will cost Florida's Taxpayers an additional $2 billion dollars in 2023. I'm guessing he doesn't care, since he's likely planning to leave the state high and dry on his way to D.C.
like most Republicans in the GQP, he only cares how his decisions affects him, right now, and screw the people it hurts down the road.

@TonyStark honestly I’m surprised he’d want to come out of his little fiefdom he’s enjoying in Florida. I’d be surprised if good investigative reporter(s) wouldn’t be able to find multiple instances of corruption if they dug deep enough there. Getting anyone to talk may be difficult though. I’m not really sure how effective he will be on a national stage. I don’t think he himself is as savvy as people make him out to be but rather the big money behind him and the manipulation that can buy. Our political system needs fixing.
