J.H.NoyesDid it broaden the humoral repertoire by increasing the number of discrete epitopes recognized, or does it increase the representation of epitopes capable of cross neutralization while winnowing the number of discrete elements? The former would be a literal broadening of the repertoire by making it more diverse whereas the latter would be a broadening of the neutralization capabilities of the individual elements themselves, which usually comes at a cost to diversity.
