God makes LGBTQ people and God loves them just as they are. They deserve the same rights as everyone else. Anyone who says otherwise is a bigot and you can tell them I said that.

with all due respect, can we PLEASE put an end to the creation myth? Many of us endured years of psychological abuse from parents, preachers, teachers, etc. because of religion. We grew up hating ourselves, being bullied by family and friends, worried we were going to hell for something we couldn't change. Religion was and remains the driving force behind the hatred. I'm literally BEGGING you not to perpetuate this myth even as a joke, because many still believe it and it's maddening. 😞

I am just a simple spud, but perhaps because of your past you are mixing the negative of your emotions with the message of the post. The overall message is people don't always choose who they are, but created that way..and we should love them for that. God is using his image, because he knows that will get across more to those who do not believe this. You are loved, spicy.. and this message is about love and inclusion.

I know God means well, but were it not for religion, Roe v Wade would not have been overturned & we wouldn’t be worrying about gay marriage being next.

Validating religion doesn't help those oppressed by it and it isn't the flex he thinks it is. Until the world sees religion as a myth, people will continue to use it to lord over and oppress others however they see fit.

He also posted this on fb and got called out on it there too, so… 😐

You could try pretending the other religions do not exist and argue with them, and hope they die out. This seems unlikely. Or you can try to use their own symbols to convince them of their harm and wrong ways. I do not discount either path people want to do. However, progress that has been made in human rights has been changing their thoughts on how their God may view things, and not removing him completely. People will always hang on to their hope of a God or gods.
