Vee Silverball@bramcohen most of the small instances agree on this: move away from mastodon.social and mastodon.online. they are too large and poorly moderated to be a good "home base" and most of the small instances have defederated from them.

@bramcohen you still see posts from people you follow directly. It just changes what the local and federated timelines do
