I have to admit - I'm surprised by how vibrant this community is at such an early stage.

Tons of chat, tons of re-sharing content, and tons of mutual support.

It makes for a very relaxed and enjoyable Sunday evening. Big love to you all. ♥️

Now when I say "early stage" I of course mean for me (here less than two weeks) and the small community I, my #Bylines pals, and others in our pro-EU community hauled across here!

A massive thanks to those who came before and built the software, network of servers and tone/vibe of this place before my lot arrived!

Hi Mike, Gave you a follow because I like Scientists for EU. Great theme. Takes me back to when I actually did science collaborations in the EU, which is now denied to the next generation. This my first reply on Mastodon!

@KesSmith
Soooo frustrating, isn't it?

Anyway - followed you back. 👍

@mikegalsworthy yes. apparently tonight on GB TV presenters were faced with reading out a poll they did. Their own audience by 55% want to go back into the EU lol
I remember science meetings to discuss micro and lithography tech in Munich, etc and all over Europe. I'm out for the game now, but brexit is just awful.
Of course in Scotland we voted 62% to #Remain, so we shall shortly be leaving the Uk, and sad to do so actually, but staying does not look hopeful as an option.
