You know one thing I will say about CW’s is demanding a group of people being murdered to CW their topics like you are owed that is privilege. You’re privileged enough to be able to ignore violence. Think about that.

In many places, we haven’t solved safety problems. Try being trans in Texas or Oklahoma.

Oppressors don’t care if we CW our posts or not. Plugging your ears doesn’t solve anything.

If you stay neutral during this time, you’ve taken the side of the oppressor.

I don’t go outside and get “CW gun” when I go to the store. I worry every day if today will be the day I get run off the road. I worry if today I’m gonna be shot or beaten at a gas station. I worry if I go out on social events if I’ll be shot or beaten there too. I already have had multiple encounters with hostile people here. I’m moving, but I have to live here in the meantime and what about the people who can’t? Just fuck em for being trans in Oklahoma?

Telling me to CW this is like telling me to give you permission to ignore this. That is your right but don’t expect my respect for not having a backbone.

@Elizafox try being a teen on flodria or england
@Elizafox like i wouldn't mind visting florida or even califorina but wouldn't want to live at those places.
@Elizafox it's sometimes as simple as mental health, I'm trans myself and find reading about or engaging with any content relating to the horrible event absolutely distressing, and would like to just scroll through a feed of shitposts and not have to think about that kinda thing, so CWing posts is very helpful for me
@Elizafox too be honset here i think people oppress themselfs from doing the right thing.
@Elizafox people subject to that violence don't need to have trauma reignited without a warning.

@Elizafox when half your followers are trans, though, CW sure helps them

no, not everything should be CW. But breaking news should be. I don't want to hear the same trans and queer hate repeatedly for days.
