@LauraMartinez I was thrown off Twitter for wishing that a particularly abusive person might be run down by stampeding elephants. True story.
I believe it was seen as threatening physical harm. The fact that I don’t own any elephants and live in England, did not seem to be considered.
Ironic humour - hyperbole - does not seem to compute in USA, where I assume the moderation took place.

@LauraMartinez I think when you engage politically it gets toxic quickly. I joined to listen to ‘the best minds’ but Brexit was an assault on everything I value - learning, cooperating across boundaries, making the world a kinder place for everyone - so I have tried to push back. With Musk, unless you share his ‘politics’, Twitter will become an increasingly difficult place to engage on. Anyway, now I run a charity account on Twitter so I can listen in only.
