So far as I can tell, you're just posting a series of reply-linked posts -- in other words, a thread. Looks like Metatext, which you're using, has a + icon that acts like Twitter's native thread support.
Mastodon web UI doesn't have that.
But back to the more .... link. I have not seen one. I have, though, seen some very long posts from modified Mastodon sites and from sites running other software.
