My first impression was that I feel less stressed here, and surrounded by less noise. Engagements have so far felt more genuine. It's been a long time since the last time I felt this way.

@kelseyhightower See, this is what I'm saying. I want more users. Twitter is always busy.

But I don't really NEED more users to have a good time. I am pretty content with this as it is. And I love having a less-busy local feed.

Mastodon is going to win because it IS better than Twitter. This isn't sacrificing for privacy. This is just blowing the competition out of the water.
