The fact that we all came to #mastodon looking for an app just lke Twitter and 2 days later we are all happy that Mastodon is in fact NOT like Twitter, says a lot about that little birdie.
Boiglenoight@mayaisloading I keep seeing posts to the contrary, almost exclusively from #journalism and #academia. Demands for things like #fulltextsearch and #quoteposts to help people find and repeat what others say seems like something that would benefit these groups while diminishing the appeal of finding any topic quickly by simple hashtag search.
@boiglenoight We all have functions we're missing, I'm not happy there is no draft folder for example. But the point is, although the app isn't perfect and it has way to grow, there are some things better than the birdie and the overall feeling of this app is something many people appreciate I bealive.
