What's a good TTRPG to play as a one-shot when you're missing players from your group, and you still want to have a game night? Something that needs very little prep.

Each adventure takes place in one evening. Its a Horror RPG. For every action the player takes, they pull a block from a Jenga tower as a dice roll. If the tower falls, the player dies. You then recreate the tower and pull a certain number of blocks for each dead character.

The game is a riot! And it builds tension like no other game. Also, the horror aspects with the tower are fantastic!

@adhdndnd Perhaps you should try Space Aces. It’s lightweight sci-fi, you sit down with friends and dice to generate and play your ‘mission’ on the fly. Roll encounters, NPCs, settings, and even starship quirks as you play
