So, here is capitalism in the hands of a narcissist: Musk buys Twitter. Twitter then implodes with reorg & dictatorial rules. Only the desperate & immoral remain. Despots like Trump - once vanquished, return to rejoin. Chaos happens. Free thinking people flee. (current state of things is here) Valuable bits (HW & SW) get looted (repurposed). Systems begin to fail from neglect, profits start dwindle -leaders grab what they can and get out. Many are demoralized. Any previous focus becomes defragmented and illusionary. Ultimately failing in purpose & function. Remaining spoils are split up. It dies quietly. No funeral. People begin to reminisce over the past. Most have already moved on. Thus endeth the lesson. Hint: “Twitter is dead, get out while you can.”
@camstonefaux Like all unfettered capital enterprise, it will end up either a monopoly or sold off for parts.
@robcinos @camstonefaux
Exactly, and while we're seeing it play out in a matter of weeks on Twitter, the same thing will happen to the United States as a whole if we allow this kind of corporate greed to continue unfettered.
@maldrasen @robcinos @camstonefaux Exactly the same way it does not made sense to use the standard of the preset to judge the past it is morality ethical to evolve our judgment to the social evolution.
@alcalaf @maldrasen @robcinos - Even if that evolution is ultimately unethical, post-priori? We should, and must, occasionally re-evaluate precepts on which we lay foundations, understanding that what was once considered bedrock, might be nothing more than a cliff-edge above a cravass of limitless immorality.
