I made the painstaking decision to boycott this World Cup - the first of my life. As a football fan who holds the game's working class roots close, the 'beautiful game' isn't beautiful when its soul has been bought by blood money, sold to the corporates and a spectacle is built on the back of slavery, inhumane working conditions and death. As well as the abhorrent laws forbidding homosexuality and press censorship, I can't celebrate this. It is not the game I once loved. #WorldCup #qatar2022
