Super pumped to ship the in-app registration to the #pixelfedApp!

It's quite a complex process that involves internal https://fedidb.org and https://pixelfed.org APIs, magic links and more 😅

It's gonna be cool 😎
@dansup
Better experience than most masto app, even the official one!! Good job!

@dansup I've seen a lot of friends complain about the Mastodon sign-up UX -- "why do I need to choose a server? What difference does it make? How do I choose one?"

Inspiration may be gotten from this page (especially the blurb at the top): https://joinmastodon.org/servers

Random idea: Select some interests (like Twitter on first launch), and randomly select a server that is the closest match in terms of interests.

That said: The UI looks really good! Very clean.

Find where to sign up for the decentralized social network Mastodon.

@dansup Some additional feedback:

Screenshot 3: Use email keyboard?
Screenshot 4: Disable autocomplete for username input?

@dansup may I ask why the source code could still not be found although the apps now officially launched?
@dansup thank you for your hard work to improve the user experience!

@dansup

I need to get some jumper cables and harness 1/100th the energy you’ve brought to your idea of #Pixelfed since the beginning.

I wish I knew Swift so I could make an iOS app, but I’m hopeful the incoming better PWA support along with notifications support in Safari will help.

@dansup

Hol’ up— this *is* an iOS app!?! Thought there was only Android development happening at the moment.

TIL — Carry on sir!

@dansup any instance that you would recommend? 🥲😂😂
@dansup congratulations ! this is great!
@dansup I like the rules. This should be always front and center so there is no confusion that hate language is never welcome. It also makes me more inclined to trust the developer.
