This is worth a watch. We can enjoy football and the World Cup, and appreciate it being held in the Middle East and a Muslim-majority country for the first time, while also recognizing the undeniable controversies and human rights abuses associated with this tournament in Qatar:

@mehdihasan ... I'm not sure I know how to enjoy it this time ... Saying this knowing fully that most if not all prior WC hosts had/have their own problematic (or worse) aspects that could have been cause for outrage or boycott ... But this WC's many issues are just so in your face, hard to turn off that part of my brain and ignore. 🙃
