I deactivated the bird account last night after Musk reinstated TFG's account—a last straw for me.

It's hard to accept change. I get that. But I think Twitter has run its course for me and I'm glad I opened this account last April.

I'm ready to get used to new social media environments rather than expecting them to suddenly transform into the old ones. And I hope to connect with other wordsmiths here on Mastodon.

@AnOrdinaryWriter I like it so far. It's an adjustment and the whole way of interacting might change some. There's something positive about being on a site that doesn't use ads or the usual algorithms.
