For people with varied interests that only want to have one Mastodon account, creating account lists is probably going to more important on Mastodon than it is on the other site. This way you can view content relevant to your current interest. Here is an example of how to create #lists using the #metatext mobile client. They will start out empty, but content from these accounts will gradually appear as new content is created. #NewbieTip

I’ve only recently realised that which app uses makes a difference and they all seem to have strengths and weaknesses! Now have the metatext app and following your instructions re lists but I can’t see how to add people I follow to certain lists. In your example screenshots you stop at the add/remove Ian shot but I can’t see what happens next. When I select ‘add to list’ nothing happens. Can you help clarify further? 🙏🏻

@SarahJadeHunter Once people have been added you have to wait for them to post something after this point. You can find your lists like this
