This week the latest NHS monthly data was released that shows:
* 2k people with learning disability and autism are in hospital in England
* over half of those have been there for over 2yrs
* 17% have been in hospital for over 10yrs

Data on inpatients with learning disabilities and/or autism are being collected both within the AT collection and MHSDS. There are differences in the inpatient figures between the AT and MHSDS data sets and work has been ongoing to better understand these. Data presented for AT: October 2022, MHSDS: August 2022 Final.
