We have temporarily suspended two users.

One published several posts attacking the integrity of another, who is a moderator on the server.
The second user published a post demeaning the professionalism of a journalist, based on their identity.

We want this to be a place where journalists can have productive conversations. We don’t want people attacking or dismissing others because of their identity or in other ways engaging in ad hominem attack.

It looks from the outside like you all have created yet another private “professional” journalist group chat where you don’t have to be subjected to the opinions of the unwashed masses and feel entitled to block journalists from marginalized populations if they question the ethics of some of the content produced by others. Suffice to say, it’s not a good look, and I say that with sincere respect to the moderator involved who is my mutual on Twitter. This isn’t the way.
