While I was cutting wood I have time to think. I started thinking about trust and how fundamental it is is everything, connected to everything.

So I googled it and liked the following thought.

"Trust is fundamental to life. If you cannot trust in anything, life becomes intolerable—a constant battle against paranoia and looming disaster."

I think this is part of society's issues is nobody trusts anyone or anything in this modern world.

The Importance of Trust

Earlier today, I googled the word "trust." It was a sobering experience. I was more than 20 pages into the results before meeting a single instance of trust in the sense of belief in something or someone.

@jcmacomber I trust my fur baby animals and they trust me ❤️
@jcmacomber What I think is worse is when people automatically *distrust*
The idea of "acting in good faith" doesnt really mean anything anymore. Everyone is so cynical all the time, and not in the funny way

@jcmacomber Thank you for that insight. I have more questions than thoughts, though will say I have to trust in what I know of myself and my loved ones, and trust that I can sway to meet the demands of the day, the moment, the times.

The rest? Well, therein reside all the questions. And I've grown enough to realize some questions will never be answered.

To your point: trust is fractured. How do we mend that? That might be the work.

@gatitakicksass
Agree
I basic handle trust the same way as you.

Trust in society as a whole as you mentioned is fractured and yeah how do we fix that.

As you do not have answers. Wish I did. But food for thought.

@jcmacomber Sing it, brother!

We have work to do.

With kindness, intention and community (and tacos, of course), just keep moving forward.
