It would be just as bad if not worse. A reminder that twitter is ubiquitous mostly in western countries, whereas everywhere else facebook is still the main thing. Huge non-english communities would be lost. Lots of local communities would loose their main point of contact.
And meta is far more than facebook - the loss of fb messenger in my country would mean mayhem in interpersonal relationships. 90% of my friends can be reached only on messenger, 99% on messenger or whatsapp
