@janecraigie Just loved seeing all the beaches on the west of Harris for the first time, today. Was here many years ago and spent four days cooped up in the youth hostel as the weather was so bad. Now, I’m making up for lost time!
@Andrena How lovely. Have you been to Luskentyre yet? And Harris distillery? The distillery is was set up with a social intent, to create opportunities and careers for local people. And how’s the weather been?!
@janecraigie I’m only really here for a very short time, so, today, I visited the beaches of the west coast, starting with Luskentyre - I’ve posted a couple of pics from there. It was dry, bright, windy and a bit on the cold side. I thoroughly enjoyed a stroll along the beach and was mesmerised by the power of the waves in the green sea. Then, I drove all the way round the south of Harris and was happy to light the wood burner in the yurt on my return. The distillery I’ll leave till next time!
