Stephen (sparkes) ParkesI'm part way through setting up a personal Mastodon instance because I couldn't find a server where my random likes and posts would fit in either with the culture or rules and I'd like to be so instead I'll be a single instance and follow metric fucktons of interesting people instead of use local :)
TheWyo@sparkes I was debating rolling my own originally if for no reason other than not worrying about things things like public instances getting hammered and going down etc, but figured I may as well wait to see how much I use this yet to see if it's worth putting the effort into.
The cool bit is I can always move to that later down the line if I wanted to due to how this all works!
