Steven (He/They)on a bus at the moment and a group of young loud boys came on, maybe 13 or 14, talking away about who they fancy in school, one of the boys is happily taking part saying what other boys they fancy, his friends are teasing him, but not because he's gay, but just the same way we all do about crushes. The kids are alright.
alexferrie@stevenrankin That makes me think back yo conversations I had with my youngest daughter's friends in 2014 before the #indyref1 in Scotland. I was struck by how well informed they were and how seriously they took their voting plans.
We really underestimate our youngsters, they're generally much more aware of politics than we give them credit for, especially where it relates to race, sexuality and gender identity.
