Gerald SoI watched a couple of videos where #Superman #voice #actors #TimDaly and #GeorgeNewbern mentioned the different struggling sounds they made if Superman were hit w/ #lasers or #electrocuted. I wonder if Superman would cry out in #pain at all. Even the least powerful depictions show him busting through walls, punching asteroids, w/ no sign of pain. Effort yes, pain no. So b/c lasers and electricity don't harm him, I don't think he would cry out in pain.
In the first season of the #JusticeLeague cartoon, #Superman was de-powered to explain why he'd need the other heroes' help. This was unnecessary. You can make Superman the most powerful, the fastest, etc. and he wouldn't have the other heroes' talents. He couldn't battle every crisis around the world at the same time. You form a team to do that.
On a #team, #Superman is the inspirational leader, the #selfless person who balances the team egos and gets them #cooperating, very much as #SteveRogers #CaptainAmerica is depicted in the #Avengers #movies
Tough to pinpoint a #JusticeLeague #leader in #Superman's absence. #Batman is too much of a loner by nature, just the kind of personality who would join a team b/c Superman nudged him. #WonderWoman is a leader, but what if she were unavailable? Who leads then?
#Batman's team role is #detective, the one who would figure out what #supervillains were planning, the crucial first step to thwarting them. Batman also provides the #JusticeLeague's operating tech and pays for collateral damage the League causes.
