Sometimes I see posts on here like “mastodon is too serious and businesslike, it needs more selfies and shitposts” and I’m like are we even using the same website but then I remember we very literally are not

@prehensile I also think that for all intents and purposes, mastodon today is just a completly different thing than it was just a couple of months ago.

It's not evenly distributed because like you said, literally not the same website, but the business and scholarly side of Mastodon kinda just exploded overnight and I've become very aware that if I post a furry with her tits out, some respected academic at an institute in Denmark or something is gonna see it.
