@MaeGodHaveMercy as I understand it so far there doesn’t seem to be? So if you move instances or the one you’re on shuts down for some reason, all your posts are gone? hrm

@nindrene Mastodon.social has gotten a little over-full, and this is a smaller instance so hopefully the local feed will be easier to interact with. :)

Amy (she/her)@MaeGodHaveMercy I love how they made it so you can automagically move all your followers over when you hop instances.
I haven't seen a way to import toots when you move, so that's the only downside to instance hopping. Hopefully they'll fix that. It's less of a problem when moving off somewhere like mastodon.social that's likely to stay up, but if you leave a dying instance the archive is gone if it goes offline.

@sue I might have to make a “Real Life Comics” account and auto-mirror the twitter posts over to it.
I don’t think Mastodon is currently supported in Hootsuite, and I’d have to pay to add additional social networks at this point anyway. :D
