i do not think twitter going down is "good" but i do not think it is "bad" in the sense of

we have gotten way too dependent on this shit, it would continue to do so- now is a good point to fork our own infra that is *durable* and owned by us

i, however, recoil at the *human cost* of that, and understand it SUCKS. but I do think of what we have to gain

it is very, very evident that the way twitter was continuing to evolve was just corraling us into the "shut up consumer" zone where we'd be fed content and ads like foie gras, fattened up for our capital value.

we can do better, and I remember the old 'net being this way. our spores will travel far, thanks to twitter. I will miss it, but I do not miss the mental health cost for all my friends

@discographette yeah... it was reaching a late stage that was unsustainable... feels like lots of things have been reaching that point... hoping the coming economic great reset will be an opportunity for new things to grow, but still nervous about the short term pain for individuals :/
