A small suggestion for new #TwitterMigration folks!

When you arrive here it's extremely helpful to add a profile picture, a bio, and maybe some links to your other sites (if you can)

It's even more helpful if you add this information before you start sending follow requests!

It's hard to work out who you all are otherwise, and it's not uncommon for folks on here to check before allowing follow requests to go through

@BlkSkinnyJeans yeah the servers are getting hit pretty hard right now! hopefully it will get easier soon as the admins work out how to adjust to the new load 🫠

@tasket I think it’s important to go the other way too? Not necessarily to twitter specifically, but it helps a lot when new accounts aren’t completely blank when they send a follow request. I reluctantly acknowledge that a lot of folks want to follow me (fucked if I know why, I’m very boring), but I get unnerved when all I can see is 20 empty profiles requesting to follow. Like, I’m not a celebrity, so I want to know something about folks who follow me - it’s hard to talk to a blank profile

@djnavarro I found that installing myself was easier on the PC than on my phone. That’s my tip. Take some time to sit behind your desk
