Dr Jess Birch@planettimmy I think much of this is intentionally not exposed (to limit arguments, recriminations etc - the email analogy works: Google may rather not let spam servers know they're routing all messages directly to the bin for GMail).
As for what we federate, that's the Federated feed (all new Public messages this instance needs to feed the follows of users on here).

Mike Nisbet@planettimmy @drashvr federation is on by default, but you can check the /about page of any server, there is a list of ‘moderated servers’ which it limits or blocks. Somewhat harder to do the reverse!
