I hope this site will also include the ability to show a more opaque background when viewing larger images. Right now, it makes it hard to view individual images without the background screen easily viewable. 📷#photography #mastodon

I really like the fine details and subtle shading that comes clearly through on screen... even though a small screen.

What lens were you using here? What software do you like to edit monochrome images? (That is... if you are not shooting film) 📷

@JamesRowan Thanks more the kind words! I believe this was a Canon 5DMk2 with a 16-35 mm if I remember correctly, it's been a while since I took it. I am a Photoshop guy, their B&W adjustment layer is amazing 😊

@AbandonedAmerica

I'm still using Photoshop CS6 when I use edit that way. I still have the original free Google version of the NiK Collection loaded into CS6 as well.

Many B&W photographers seem to really love using the NiK Silver FX Pro module, but you rarely hear anyone talk about it much. There are a number of good YouTube videos on that editing program too.

@JamesRowan hoo boy, it's come a ways since then! I have the Nik package and I use it for some things but I don't use the B&W part much. Maybe I'll give it another shot. But the B&W adjustment layer usually gets me where I want to go
