I’ll pour one out for ya
@Tiezep Ah, that sucks man!
I'm lucky in that we currently have four good used record stores, but I just don't see how all of them will able to survive long term.
Wish I had some better record stores by me, but I should probably explore a bit more. You spin vinyl?
Haha yea I’m hardly a DJ unless it’s just myself and a friend. That’s a great collection! I’ve got a few dozen of my own records and a ton of my dad’s old albums. Gotta go through them soon to find the gems.
You have any favorite albums (vinyl or otherwise)?
Woah those are all great for sure.
I’ve got a pretty rare copy of Endless by Frank Ocean, but my favorite is a signed original pressing of Star Wars ep. 5 Empire Strikes Back.
My dad is friends with a contemporary of John Williams and had the chance to meet John at a show. A few days after meeting Maestro Williams the signed record showed up in the mail!
Ayyy Chicago!! It might be a divisive opinion, but I can’t get enough of Chi 7. Chi Transit Authority and Chi 6 also kick ass.
@wheeljack sounds nice, I'm not one to think about the economic side of things but I would imagine you need to move A LOT of product to make a business of selling second hand records between $4-$10 sustainable
Pretty sure all but 4 or 5 of my records came from this local shop
