Some thoughts on the #Ticketmaster / #TaylorSwiftTix debacle:

Even if the government broke up #ticketmastermonopoly to stimulate competition, no company has the infrastructure to handle ticket sales for a 50+ date arena tour for arguably the world's most in-demand performer.

The only real solution (aside from Ticketmaster growing even BIGGER to handle demand) is to let individual venues handle their own ticketing on the platforms of their choice. Decentralize.

@ljtwpg there would definitely be some post break-up growing pains, but I don’t know if TM is that irreplaceable (yet). Break them and we’ll figure it out.

@aTRAIN204 agreed. TM is not as entrenched in society as, say, a major social media platform haha
