Laravel and PHP developers to follow on Mastodon | freek.dev

I love Twitter and I will be there until the ship goes down. Unfortunately, there are some strong signals that it may go away for a while or even permanently. I surely hope it doesn't come to that. Through years of curating people to follow, I've built a very nice, positive group of people I admire and get inspired by. If Twitter goes down, I want to stay following these people (in a non-creepy way, rest assured). That's why I've already created a Mastadon account, and am looking around for the positive Laravel and PHP vibes there.

@freekmurze Nice list! But I'm lazy, and having to copy and paste the usernames into search is so much work 😂 Can I suggest making the handles links to the relevant profile pages?

@michael I might to that after a while.

I think it's easier for beginners to copy and paste, that to be greeted by that Mastadon dialog that you should follow them on your own server. I found that very confusing when first starting out with Mastodon.

@freekmurze yeah, that's certainly a good point! I find that dialog so annoying. Wish there was a better way.
@michael @freekmurze You can import CSVs to your following list in your Settings, just needs a header line for "Account address,Show boosts" then a line for each account with "Account@Server,TRUE"
@techiegm @freekmurze yeah, I know. But I want to check these people out before following them
