Pleae let me know if I have this right:

the best way to do a thread (where someone sees the thread only if they intentionally view the first post) is to make the replies to one's own first post in the thread unlisted (i.e. not private, but not separately listed).

Is this correct? If not, please let me know what I may want to do instead.
