Twitter users complaining about Mastodon's slowness…you aren't stuck in traffic, you are traffic. It took years (and gobs of cash) for Twitter to become reliable and performant. Remember the 'Fail Whale'?

@all_caps Yes, but Twitter was new and had the advantage of no expectation. However it ran was as good as we’d ever had it. Now we are migrating to an earlier product and there is an adjustment curve based on a high bar.
