THE QUESTION every journalist should be asking right now is why the hell should ordinary workers have to pay to fill a massive £30bn black hole blown in the country’s finances by the Conservative Governments gross incompetence, negligence & ineptitude!!

The question ignored by journalists today is why should workers pay the price for Tory incompetence?

@PeterStefanovic where did this “30 billion black hole” even come from though? It seems an arbitrary figure the tories plucked out of the ether…
@PeterStefanovic the problem is most journalists are employed by nondom billionaire owners of media outlets be they print or tv and jump to the tune of their paymasters. Too few have the courage of their convictions and for those that do there are no mass outlets to get the message to the ignorant masses. I use the word ignorant not as an insult as I’m sure you understand.

@PeterStefanovic Sure, but who should pay it then ? It’s not like the money is in some Swiss Bank Account

Oh Wait

@PeterStefanovic we'll learn together I hope.
@PeterStefanovic not to speak of the extravagant spending of Johnson’s government during the pandemic, dodgy contracts etc
@PeterStefanovic over here they want content warnings for politics etc. Use the wee button bottom left, 2nd from right. Speech bubble w exclaimation mark. Yes, we know what things you discuss but others dont and see your posts if they are in thecsamevinstance.
@PeterStefanovic I was going to say those who voted Tory should pay, but realised that Tories got in through a massive con.
@PeterStefanovic you forgot to mention greed and nepotism
@PeterStefanovic why can’t we make the previous A 🕳S pay ? They stole the money gave it away .. they should pay !
@PeterStefanovic
Ever feel we are just cash cows to the Tory party?

@PeterStefanovic Thanks to the hypocritical sanctions from the elites against Russia and the totalitarian Covid measures, energy (as well as fertilizers, grains, feed for livestock, thus the food supply, energy intensive sectors, ...) are expensive especially in Europe but also the US and eventually other countries, as opposed to cheap energy for Russia's clients like India, China, Turkey, ..., and as such Europe's economy and welfare are doomed. In the meantime, ...

@PeterStefanovic There is no 'black hole'. It's just a well worn saying chucked out to try and justify taxes going up again for the average person while ignoring the likes of BP & Shell who make billions and pay little to no tax.
@PeterStefanovic I still don’t understand, why there isn’t a campaign for Truss to face criminal damage charges

@PeterStefanovic

They are also keeping very quiet about how much the #ToryScum with insider info made by shorting the pound after their hedge-fund bestie Kwasi tanked the pound for them.

@PeterStefanovic
The bill for any financial issues from the Truss administration should be borne solely by the Tory membership who voted her into power. They expected to benefit from their choice, and should bear the resulting catastrophe. It’ll teach them to think better next time. Everybody else knew it was going to be a disaster given her track record.

@RichardJMurphy: The government is going to pay our commercial banks £136 billion of excess interest over the next five years on money the government gifted to them using the QE process. That’s £27bn a year that...…

@PeterStefanovic you omitted the phrase "and unparalleled corruption ".
@PeterStefanovic hello there, watching the Twitter bonfire from a safe distance :-)
@PeterStefanovic hm, I remember that kinda figure being spent in the government before....... Oh yes failed track and trace....
@PeterStefanovic corruption don’t forget corruption.
@PeterStefanovic and since they decided WE are to blame for their incompetence they’ve gone quiet. Mr Anonymous has been busy enacting more fascist right wing laws to stop us all doing anything but working and sleeping.
