Cos most ring wingers have large parts of their brains switched off, none of them predicted the labour shortage. THEY thought there was a rump of ppl waiting to spring into the vacancies even if they were untrained/live in the wrong place but the workers we need were never born
@sillyshib Absolutely! Great to see you here πŸ˜€
@sillyshib so true, I live in Cumbria and the effect on the tourism industry has been massive
@sillyshib And the government happily encouraged that with their promise of thousands of new health workers - who didn't exist.
@sillyshib True πŸ‘ followed
@sillyshib because the forins had taken all the jobs
@sillyshib they are plain text book idiots when it comes to the economy.
@kaferin I wish they'd just admit they thought we could demand all the benefits but not have any obligations just like toffs do in everyday life
@sillyshib hello and now followed ✊🏼
@sillyshib I found you 😁

@sillyshib Great to see you on here :)

They also presumed that people would flock here after Brexit - ignoring the fact that people would have the hassle and cost of applying for visas for themselves and their families

Plus the fall of the pound due to Brexit makes us less attractive

They appealed for HGV drivers, butchers, vets, etc. but very few came

@sillyshib hello and now followed ✊🏼
@sillyshib it was hideous on radio 4 this evening a minister (ex-minster) was saying the NHS needed to get all the people on long term sick back to work and basically, it's the fault of the NHS we don't have enough workers.
@sillyshib I think that typo should stay and become the standard for mentioning right wingers.

@sillyshib
Some sectors are hemorrhaging staff. Social care and NHS, for example. Pay is very low, can even work out as less than minimum wage when you travel around helping people in their own homes, but Social Services don't have enough money to pay for care. Austerity 2.0 is just what we don't need. NHS wages are restricted by the govt. Not just anyone is capable of being a carer or Nurse.
