I'm seeing two types of Verification ticks on Mastodon. I saw a blue one and then a pink one. Are these even real verification ticks and if they are, what do these colours mean? #TwitterMigration #TwitterDown #RipTwitter

@KolawoleFalodun No, they aren't real. Only kind of verification here is linking own website(s) in metadata field in user profile (instruction how to do this is in profile settings).
These ticks are just custom emojis users add to their display names.

@madargon oh okay. Thanks for clarifying. It would be nice for people to be able to purchase custom emojis like buying domain names for those avoiding impersonation
