Opinionatedpineapple@portmantony Using the official Mastodon app doesn’t appear that way though. Please explain how to get the most out of the app which can’t see the Fediverse (if possible) as I imagine most newcomers will be accessing Mastodon via official mobile app.

@athosmoreno @portmantony definitely think that will be a massive turn off to most new people and prevent them from staying 
@Opinionatedpineapple @portmantony i believe that will be available within time since the main maintainer of the mastodon code must be overwhelmed since he also owns the "main" instance which gets the most heat
meanwhile you can use metatext on iOS or tusky/tooot on android
or use the web app on the browser which i think it is better than most apps
