🔴 I don't know where we should go.. 🟡Me I always upload gifs via gboard. But for the web ui, gifs turned into mp4s works better from what experienced as they get converted into such by Mastodon regardless.
ezgif.com is a pretty good tool for doing all sorts of things with gifs such as converting to mp4.

According to this it should be as simple as adding the file. But maybe your server has problems coping with the influx of Twitter users.
