Gave migration a shot from gamedev.place to peoplemaking.games. Took all of 3 minutes and had no major downsides from what I can tell.

Getting stuck on a bad host was a major concern of mine with this platform, but since it's so easy to switch I feel a lot better about it.

@Wanderbot Welcome here! And, as you can see, you're still able to connect with all the folks at gamedev.place!

The only downside is, here we really wanna get to know you! Looking forward to your new introduction post 😂

@Wanderbot Oh! I didn't know you could switch! Once the main "mastodon.social" server accepts new accounts, I might switch there.
@Wanderbot Why do you consider gamedev.place a bad host?
@robostreamer I don't, apologies for wording that poorly. I just wanted to see how easy switching is, just in case things go sour.
@Wanderbot Ah, I see - thanks for clarifying :)

@Wanderbot glad to hear it's relatively easy to transfer - mostly settled with this server since it seemed to appeal to broad interests, but not sure if it will be my final one.

Mainly, I wasn't sure if I wanted to do the whole "different profile for each channel" thing again or not, due to it being a royal hassle to maintain. I'm sure it's possible to use the API to distribute to/from a central account to others, but not sure I want to invest the time to build that from scratch lol.
