I don't know if there's a way to share a thread without individually boosting each post, so I'll share this URL to the "root toot", as it were.

Protip that will sound unusual if you don’t understand the nuance: ✨ Don’t put pronouns in your posts/replies ✨ (Keep reading: Not about gender or someone’s pronouns.) This tip matters even more on Mastodon/Fediverse because of the lack of QT. Think of pronouns as “pointers” or “references” to topics. While talking about topics, try not to use “implicit references” but rather mention the topic directly. Especially in replies, so they can be boosted and have full context. (More below)

@steve @nova This thread is awesome!

@cocopuff @steve @nova It’s interesting in a way since several of the tips are only really fully necessary on Mastodon servers. They are helpful, if not critical, on Akkoma/Foundkey/Misskey and probably some other types of instances as well. We can, on web, hover over the “Reply to foo” part of the post and instantly see and jump to the replied to post

Still, not bad ideas :)

@steve @nova I had the same thought... I guess that by boosting the 1st post in a thread your followers can see the rest.
@FearlessJuan @nova I both shared the link and boosted the post, so I'm covered :)
@steve @nova Thank you for introducing “root toot” into my timeline. <3
@abrahms @nova I'm just here for a rootin' tootin' good time :D
@steve @nova Where do I table a motion that "root toot" becomes an internationally recognised #fediverse verb?
