@eben Not likely, the usage of Mastodon is due to the other competitor making terrible marketing choices. Maybe if Microsoft did the same and completely ruined the Windows experience, people would turn to Linux for good.

@eben I don't think they are that relevant, but surely we can mention Linux more on Mastodon / in Fediberse.

Been using Linux as my primary OS more than eight years now, I think Linux has been a lot improved in their desktop department.

Valve did a lot to improve the gaming experience on Linux. GNOME was hugely improved and is, IMO, better than Windows or Macos.
