If #mastodon wants to thrive, users need let go of #twitter and stop cross posting and comparing platforms. It’s not Twitter, and if people keep posting links to it and referencing it, then you may as well stay with the Blue Bird.
Me, I’m breaking up Twitter but it’s far too entertaining to walk away from Musks dumpster fire.

@paulsboutique I think Mastodon will thrive with or without birdsite users. As you said it is its own platform quite intentionally different from birdsite.

@paulsboutique Some people are treating Twitter as a dumpster fire or car crash they can’t look away from. I’m mostly sad that a place I spent so much time on will disappear as I know it. As all things digital, it just disappears and all you have are memories. It’s a lifeline for so many disabled and other people. Beyond the absurdity of the new ownership I find the whole thing just sad. So many people are suffering for his lols.
